Major: Music - Performance (This Major's Salary over time)
College is what you make of it. If you show up a performance major, and do nothing but the bare bone and good grades, you'll end up pumping gas out of college. However, if going to school is one of the many things you do as a performer, you'll have a pretty good shot coming out of five towns. I do not recommend five towns to students who plan to dorm. campus life is almost nonexistant, dorms are nice, but less than 300 students occupy daily campus life. As a commuter student, I enjoy the commute, and although the school is small, it is effective, the work is not excessively time demanding, and the teachers (for the most part) are very laid back and generous about there grading. They are very focused on grading the student as is, instead of demanding higher general standards. This really allows you to do what you need to do as a performer—consume your life with personal practice, learn at a slow, deep pace, and reap the benefits. Whatever you do, stay out of the Five Towns performances.
