EMU tends to get a bad rep. However, it is what you make it. I had a great time in the finance program, which was more competitive than some of the others. Business students in general are very motivated and competitive. I joined numerous organizations and academic clubs. My freshman roommate was awesome and we are still in contact (8 years later). She is in Chicago doing some big things in the fashion world. Her marketing degree kicked off her desire and connections in the PR world, which eventually led to fashion. She worked her butt off, but it really paid off. If you are smart, you can really become a big fish in a little pond here. Work hard, stand out and you will make your career happen.
