Major: Other (This Major's Salary over time)
UNE is a great community full of faculty and students who are very friendly. The campus is absolutely beautiful and has a beach, which is perfect for my major (Ocean Studies). I feel as if UNE has become a home for me. It is a small campus where everyone knows each other and supports each other. I have never met so many friendly people before; I didn't think it was possible. It is very easy to get involved in anything you want and they encourage you to get involved! You can even make your own club or organization with only five other people and one faculty member! We recently had someone make a sailing club. I am involved with orientation and I love it. I love being able to help the first year students feel comfortable coming into college because it can be scary. If you afraid of not having anything to do on campus, do not fret! The Activities Programming Board is always putting on events. Bingo happens twice a semester with amazing prizes (TVS, Ipads, Xbox, etc). Every Sunday night there is a newer movie that is played in case you did not catch it in theaters. Athletics are ALWAYS going on. Almost any day you can go watch a sports game. We constantly have comedians, mentalists and motivational speakers come in for the students' enjoyment. We have big events that go on with free prizes, blow up obstacle courses, food, karaoke etc. We also have a spring concert and many dances such as the dance of the damned and the spring formal. I love UNE because of the people here. I love feeling like I have a family while I'm away from my real family. I love knowing I have a huge support system and I can go to anyone, whether it be a student or faculty member, whenever I am in need of something.
