This school is just like a living hell. I have never hated a place so much in my life. I knew coming here I would have to transfer out after 2 years to go somewhere that actually has my major, but I can't even last that long. I'm transferring out next semester and going to community college. Also, the only four friends I made here are also all transferring out. We've all tried our hardest to make it work, but we can't take it anymore.

Academics are very hard and they make you take nonsense classes. Granted I know its more of a liberal arts school, but how the hell is music theory going to help me in the nutrition department. Also, classes are pretty hard. I'm not doing well and I easily got in this school with a 3.6 from high school. However, they do have a high acceptance rate because so many kids transfer out.

The surrounding town is also not meant for college kids. There's nothing to do unless you have a car. Downtown is nice, but only during the day and if you have money. They do offer the FRED buses to come and take you places, but they are sketchy as anything. My friend had an older guy try to hit on her and he had a gun tucked into his pants.

It's also so hard to have fun here. The parties suck if you can even find them. They either get busted or they don't let you in. The parties here are majorly exclusive. If you don't play a sport or whore yourself at a frat boy (even though it's a fake frat) then you'll end up spending your weekend studying or just going home. Which MANY people go home for the weekend, this place is seriously dead on Saturdays except for the poor unfortunate souls being led on tours and getting lied too.

The food is beyond awful. People call it horse laxatives and it's true. My stomach has never been so messed up from eating food before. It's the same food all the time. I'm vegan so that makes it even harder because they barely offer options to begin with. Salads aren't awful, but they still make my stomach hurt because they leave the salad stuff sitting in the open all day. Needless to say I try to just eat food I have in my room as much as possible.

In conclusion, don't come here. It's the second most expensive school in VA and it's not worth it at all. I can't wait for the semester to be over so I don't have to hate my life everyday.
