I've been going to UofL for four years, and have plenty to say about it. Although I found the campus beautiful and clean, it was hard to enjoy because various distractions outside. One day it would be a construction site right in the middle of campus and the next it would be a preacher calling me a

worthless insect in need of saving.

One of my favorites was when an anti-abortion rally hanged baby dolls from trees and forced grotesque propaganda on passing students.

Falculty in the financial aid department were extremely rude and condescending. If you encounter a problem with financial aid or tuition payments, be prepared to be threatened and harrassed by the staff. There is absolutely no attempt to help you when money is involved; they want their money and that's all they care about.

Parking is a total joke. If you have stadium parking be prepared to be forced to park 10 minutes from campus at a moment's notice. Sports events and paid parking events have priority over students despite paying almost $200 a year to use a lot that is subpar anyway. Also, if there is any sort of snowy weather be prepared to walk across a sheet of ice. It is ignored by maintence staff and is never treated for that type of weather.

Events are also unorganized and often interrupt attempts to study or have class. Don't be surprised when a pep rally is organized outside a building with classes in session.

Don't expect to have much of a social life either. UofL is a commuter school and it is extremely difficult to make friends. People don't stick around campus and it is usually dead by 4:00.

Finally the worst part about the school is that they put sports before education. Currently there are three projects going on including new fields for soccer and softball, costing millions of dollars. Now I understand why my tutition has gone up thousands of dollars since my first year at UofL.
