I came here originally, drawn in by multiple tours that promised a fun and exciting campus where events happen very often, but I was mostly drawn in because of the city of Boston. Since being here however, I have come to regret my decision to attend here. My professors have either been great, or absolutely terrible, with hardly any in between.

The campus is seemingly dead on weekends, and the small campus starts to feel "hamster wheel-ish" very fast, because it only takes you about 5 minutes max to walk between any two buildings on campus. While this originally was a plus for me when deciding which college to attend, it has since become a negative, because I feel as though I am walking the same paths over and over again every day.

Because the campus is so small, I often find myself leaving the campus to get a break from the school. The one positive of attending this school is probably its location. The Fenway neighborhood is pretty nice, and the school is conveniently located near the Fenway T stop, so it isn't that difficult to access other parts of the city.

After listening to my friends talk about the various events and parties at their schools, I have started to feel as though I am definitely missing out on the "college experience." If you want to go to a party, you'll have to leave campus and visit one of the surrounding schools because this school is a dry campus, so no one bothers trying to party on campus. Campus events tend to be lame, and I don't feel a ton of campus pride like I did when I visit my friends at other colleges and universities.

While on tour, I was told that the gender ratio is around 50/50 and was definitely beginning to even out. This however, is not true, and after consulting multiple websites, I have found that the true gender ratio is much more skewed in the direction of girls. Somewhere around 80/20 is more accurate. So if you're coming here hoping to meet guys, you'll have to look at some other school in Boston, because you probably won't have much luck here.

Just remember on tours that schools are trying to sell themselves to you. If I could do it all over again, I would not choose Emmanuel College, and as such, will be transferring to a different college at the end of the year.
