Major: Anthropology (This Major's Salary over time)
I began in Fall 2010 as a Freshman, then graduated in Fall 2013. This school has a lot to offer- if you're in the right program. For the most part, the staff are very helpful. Unless you're going to student records/accounts. They are straight up terrible! NEVER pay bills online, because they consistently mess those up. Pay in the Science building and get a receipt-always. 7 times over 3 years they had put my money in someone else's account. Also, keep VERY close track of your grades and the classes you take. Multiple times I had gotten grades from classes that I never even heard of, and they generally reflected negatively on my GPA. It is hard to get around things like that too, you have to go through a bunch of different people to get things fixed. (Example: Going into Junior year I got a letter telling me the list of every class that I had taken and the grades, this showed my pass/fail. However, even though my name was on this sheet I had never even taken ONE of those classes. HALF OF THOSE CLASSES WERE TAKEN WHEN I WAS STILL A SOPHOMORE IN HIGH SCHOOL!)They treat the sports team as a priority, but then cut all the good programs. It seems that in the time I was there the students, the people who should be considered the most important in a academic institution were being put last. The amount that you are paying isn't worth the education that you are getting. If you're a local kid and want to stay in the area, go to UB. It really is a better school and at a much cheaper price. The staff is more reliable and even though the class sizes are big, they still remember who you are. If you're out of state, look in state first. If you're a teaching/business/accounting major, this may be the school for you. Other than that every other department is extremely small and seems to be rather underfunded.
