This school is ridiculous. They have no idea who they are letting in, all they want is people's money and people who are going to be able to afford it. There is no recollection and hope for the people that have worked their entire lives to want and get a job in the degree they choose. Just another one of America's failed businesses and values. Absurd. |
Major: Computer Science (This Major's Salary over time)
VTC is a technical college, which means that the instructors are generally there because of an interest in teaching, not research or something else. VTC is a small college. The upshot is that you'll only have a few large classes (all gen-eds like business law) and can therefore get individual attention, but the downside is a distinct lack of social opportunities. VTC's courses are definitely harder and more interesting than what the Community College of Vermont offers, which is to be expected of an institution which has an actual selection process. Their software and electrical programs (e.g. computer engineering) are well thought out and difficult, and I've heard great things about other programs like dental. I cannot speak to the quality of other programs.VTC is not the best school in the world, but you do get incredible return for the amount of money spent.
