I'm in my fourth, and last year of undergraduate school, though I have only done two of them here at Olivet. I think that my previous experience at another four year university has given me something very special—that thing being an opportunity to compare and contrast my experiences. I was not necessarily chipper about coming to ONU, and began my time here reluctantly. This is how I know that my feelings of warmth and fondness toward Olivet are sincere. While I liked my previous school, and am thankful for my experience there, it cannot compare to my positive feelings towards ONU. Coming in as a junior, it was still incredibly easy to get involved. As my second year began here, I had already been to other continents with teams from ONU, obtained two excellent on-campus jobs, and had the opportunity to mentor a group of freshman. There are an ample amount of friendly people here on campus, the faculty and staff are (generally) fantastic, and the campus is beautiful. Of course there are negatives, as there must be at any school, I could point them out, but I would rather just say that the positives FAR outweigh the negatives. And all this from someone who transferred here reluctantly. A positive attitude will get one far wherever one is, but I must say, I do believe you belong here!
