Major: History/Histories (art history/etc.) (This Major's Salary over time)
I came into this school as a transfer because it seemed like the easiest thing to do at the time. It is a very poor fit for a student like me, however, I understand that it is an excellent fit for some.

It's a "jock school." If you want to come for physical ed, sports management, or one of the exercise science programs, like parties, and are athletic, this is your school.

The education department is also pretty good. Education majors seem fairly happy with the school overall. Speech and Hearing science majors also seem prevalent and satisfied academically.

The rest of the programs vary, with most being somewhere around moderate. The history department is ok, I really like my advisor and enjoy the diversity of the courses I am required to take.

The social life is slim if you're not into partying. The majority of the students are from Long Island or the city, and seem bored with the smaller city atmosphere. Therefore, they turn to drinking and drugs to occupy themselves. It is DIFFICULT to socialize with the majority of the student body if you don't want to drink or party. It is also very difficult to get to sleep in the dorms on the weekends. I lived in the dorms at first, but am now commuting. Most students live on campus or in apartments close by. It can be hard to make meaningful friendships while commuting. I would not suggest this school for commuters or anyone looking for a quiet, non-partying residence life experience.

Overall, although I find the school tolerable, I would not choose it again due to the wild social scene and mediocre academics.
