Major: Computer Science (This Major's Salary over time)
Computer Science Major 2016 Fall,WAS my major, had to drop it because it didn't get easier with attending class and doing the homework. If you have a computer science background already, you MAY do fine. 1/3 of the class failed the 1st exam of only 2 exams. Currently, there are 2 professors teaching this course, Easwaren just started teaching level 1 and the result was disastrous for a third of us. Its 1 hour and 30 minutes lecture twice a week with a 3 hour lab with a teacher assistant where you get tested on the lecture you just touched based on in class. Teacher assistant, Mr. Burgeriere, was more of a hall monitor, he grades your labs but offers no help if your stuck on a problem even if it is not part of the lab quiz, it could be just a homework problem. No Help. Easwaren will take a vacation for a week and still have lab quizes so if you didnt get it the 1st time, you will fail it 2 times more with no help. I tried contacting for help, he didnt respond. Tutoring was available but it was limited 1 hour with a computer science student. I give him props, he was able to explain it better than the teacher. But again, Homework problems were given randomly with maybe 1 out of 20 questions that dealt with the lab quiz. Overall, teacher was friendly and knows his stuff, definitely not a beginner, but as an honor student with straight A's in my other courses, he was not a good teacher. By halfway at the final day for withdrawal, there was less than half of the original class that was actually still attending the class, thats roughly 20 out of 45.Campus is great, love it, all the students are courteous, friendly. There is another level 1 teacher Des Reis, his class gets filled up fast, if you can get him, Take Computer Science. If you can't, hope you have time and money to waste.
