The teachers in this department are incredible: they all have many years experience and truly care about your future as a teacher as well as the future of your potential students. What I hated was the constant outsourcing of everything and ultimate expense. The portfolio you're required to use online has to be paid for, the transcripts are expensive just for some paper when I paid so much to get it in the first place, etc. The admin in general is unpleasant, unorganized, and barely helpful. If you decide to go here (one of the few early childhood programs in chicago), just know these are roadblocks you'll face and know that you'll have to be doubly on top of your schooling where the admin is supposed to be.
