I just completed my first year. I have had 4 professors. Two were brilliant and everything one could expect and ask for. The other two are a joke. One of them, cannot write. His emails have nothing to do with the class, and are filled with grammar and spelling mistakes. He gives no feedback relevant to class or assignments. My last professor used a photo of what looked like Beyonce, except this professor is Caucasian, not Black. She was completely rude to me, never, ever giving me any type of helpful feedback. She was rude, condescending and off-putting. Based on her and the other professor's performance I would not recommend Capella. Additionally, a good majority of the students do not have good command of the English language or doctorate level writing skills. It is discouraging. There is a certain amount of cheating and copying that the university allows to happen.

responseUnfortunately, your review describes a Capella University that I find unrecognizable. Our models of reality tend to be different, highlighting only those aspects within the broad beam of our individual searchlights. A student exacts from an experience the equivalent of effort dedicated to mining that experience. I found the Capella model well suited to my own individuality and need for intellectual sustenance, and never saw fit to rely on the spoon-feeding approach that is the cornerstone of the traditional institution of learning. Before coming to Capella for my PhD in Accounting, I graduated with a BA from a private university, and MBA from a State University. Based on my experience, the academic rigor in all three were about equally the same. Similar to other institutions, you have both “good” and “bad” Professors, and you learn to deal with each on their respective turfs. I expect civility from my Professors because it encourages fluid communications and facilitates knowledge transfer, but I do not expect them to cater to my every need. Their incompetence or lack of responsiveness does not detract from the reading material, although enlightened feedback can help elucidate nebulous concepts. As an adult learner preparing for greater roles in the larger society, one must quickly learn to become self-reliant in acquiring knowledge. This is the approach that I found helpful and I am successful today on account of it.
commentCapella University is a great school because of their family-friendly environment. The classes are small, which allows students to get more involved in the learning process. The professors are extremely helpful and they always answer questions with ease. Try this Buy 3d printer filament calgary for more useful ideas. I also love how they offer many opportunities for students to get involved with clubs, volunteering and other activities. I also love how Capella has so many different programs that you can specialize in such as nursing, education or even business.
