Willamette is too white and there is a lot of racism and Islamophobia. Ast a West Asian Muslim, I face a lot of microagressions at Willamette as well as blatant racist stereotypes. West Asians are underrepresented and sometimes I feel like I am otherised and excluded by other parts of the Asian community because I am West Asian (Syrian, Lebanese, Yemeni) and because I am a Muslim. Willamette is a bunch of racist white rich kids who like to go hiking and camping and push veganism on others.
