I attended the Denver campus back in 2002. It was a new college at the time and I was leered in by false promises. I attended a fly-in during 2002 and was told the the then Denver University would be where I would be taking classes. It turns out that when I got there later that year that that wouldn't be happening for a year or so and that Denver University still owned the building. I was offered a scholarship to attend the University, but when I arrived they told me that the scholarship was a mistake and offered me a university loan called Achievement Loan.

Professors at the business college of this school are not professionals in their field and I ended up taking classes wherever they could fit us, such as a old attic of one of the buildings on campus. My teachers were previous flight attendants and dumpster drivers and were trying to teach me about business?! This school has the most arrogant population ever! Everyone thinks that because they go to an expensive $20k / year school that they are Godsends. Most of the population did poorly in High School and have rich parents and this was the only college they could get into. Drugs and alcohol are the main pastimes of the students.

I left this place after 2 terms and continue to pay on over $10,000 of debt. I have not had a problem with my federal loans but the private loan from the university I have has given me nothing but problems. The college makes sure never to send you statements so they can continue to gouge you in interest even though they claim I only had a 5% loan, there were months I was gouged all of my $300 payments in interest only. They said that because I missed a few payments (because they never send me statements) I made a $300 payments to make up and they took the entire amount in interest. The people at the office don't care about you and can't even answers my questions about why Im paid so much interest! I have since paid off this account in full and will always regret my decision to attend JWU. Attending this college set me back 4 years and ruined my life for a good 2 years.
