the parent of a freshman male student I am extremely
disappointed in this college... My husband and son visited on
an athletic scholarshiping visit and after reviewing his choices, our
son chose Northland. We have had a semester of
living hell, from dorm issues, hazing from the “wanna be
hippies”, a caoching staff that is only concerned about their
own well being. The courses offered are very specifically
environmental based... I do not feel that weeding the spinach
crop or husking wheat is a necessary weekly project for
these kids especially when thier major has nothing to do
with agriculture. ?? They are very phony welcoming
and once they have you in the system you become
a file number and the parents are told to “butt-out”
that they are not welcome to be involved!! amazing
since they are acting on our wallets! hmm.. I
would definitely check this college thoroughly before making a decision
and if it seems like the right place... I would
recheck and reconsider... I have been extremely disappointed in the
staff and facilities.
