My advice is in response to all the negative messages I've read on this site about AIFL…

As with all things in life, you get out of this school what you put into it. Lots of immature students expect that just because you're paying a high tuition that you are automatically going to get the best in education. At this stage in the game you're supposed to be an adult and you are treated as one. You are lectured, given assignments and tested on what you've learned. It's up to you to participate in class, do your homework and actually apply what you have learned to your life. No institution in the universe can make you achieve if you don't do your part. I hear countless people complaining in life but when you ask, "what are you doing to change that horrible situation," they simply reply, "this is what is happening to me." BULL, stop being lazy and complacent and expecting the world to give you something because you're here. Realize that we live in a global economy and you are competing for resources on a worldwide level. If you want this school to be the best then do your part to be the best and you can inspire others around you to do the same.

Now with that said, I do agree that the school has some problems with its staff. But the blase attitude is the same you get before a judge when you give a bogus excuse as to why you never paid someone back—yeahsurefinerightwahtever, it was a gift! The school has an orientation day and packet which if you read you have all the information you need to know where to find what on campus. Also they have counselors that help you with personal real life issues (I know I went and got help). Also each instructor spends the very first class in each course going over the syllabus (step-by-step). OMG what more do you want people. I am in my second quarter and have found the teachers very well informed, current, and the top in their respective fields. Yes, it's true that one or two teachers suck…well get ready people because even when you work in a fortune 500, 100 or whatever, you have bosses and co-workers suck too (I've worked in them for many years in NY and even managed departments in them)!!!

The worst experience that I've had is with the parking lots (they have two, one on the main campus and the other across the street at Harbor Walk). It runs out of space at certain times during the day, however if this school is supposedly so bad and not worth the expensive price tag then why are there so many students here?

They have to be doing something right to make so many people believe that it's worth going there!
