Thought I would help my parents save money and go to school and live at home. Big mistake. KSU forces even commuter students to take the meal plan. I don't want to eat any meals there-it's not convenient, and expensive per meal, even for the 84 plan. I felt good when I toured KSU. It's totally differenct once you are there. Campus has a dead feeling to it. Even with some campus housing, it still feels like a commuter junior college. If you don't care about a traditional college experience, you might like KSU. But I just felt cheated my freshman year. The on-time graduation rate is low. People usually go here to get their GPA up and then transfer to UGA, Tech or somewhere else. It's notorious for making it impossible to graduate on time because you can't get the classes you need to stay on track. I had some good professors, none were great. The best way I can describe it is that it feels empty there. Looks and feels like a community college. Sorry I wish I could be more positive.
