This is my first year at SFSU andQuite BrightUndecided
This is my first year at SFSU and I am loving it here. I think there are a few reasons why my first year has been better than some other freshmen I know. I moved into the dorms, which made it much easier to meet people and make friends quickly. I know people who are living off-campus or in the Village and they have found it much harder to meet people. This is definitely a commuter school. The campus is pretty empty on the weekends. But, again, if you meet people in the dorms, they're most likely going to be sticking around. There are parties, you just need to talk to the right people to know where they are. Rate my professor has been really helpful in choosing classes. The reviews are accurate. You should definitely check that when making your schedule. SFSU is really more in Daly City than San Francisco, but it's a short MUNI ride into the city. It is very foggy and rainy here, so if you need the sun, don't go here. I highly recommend this university.

Question
Not too many parties unless you know peopleBrightMechanical Engineering
Not too many parties unless you know people who know people. A lot of cute girls but not very approachable. I can say the reason I love this campus is the girls, there just so many of them and a lot of them are just gorgeous. Too bad the weather is the type that makes you cover up unlike SD and SB.

I'm an engineer so I can't speak for everybody else but our department just sucks. Its so underfunded but then again our Cinema and Arts programs at SF state are one of the best in the country. For engineers we just manage whatever we have. I've met a lot of cool cats at this school and had plenty of memorable experiences that I feel would keep me from leaving this campus, but for my major I need to look into the future and realize this school isn't for me.

If you are an engineer, it's not a bad school but I'm sure other schools are way better! Also that when taking major related classes, expect to have classmates that are way older than you. You kind of loose touch of the whole college experience here too since after all is a commuter school.

The weed is dank and probably the best in the nation, just saying. I can say 3 out of 6 people who attend this school smoke so don't be surprised.

In the end, choose wisely. There's a lot of things I can say about SF state but I'll leave you to visit the campus. Don't believe everything the people touring the campus tell you. Go ask students personally, that way you get a straight and honest feel for the school.

I did a lot of f**king crazy sh*t at this school and I had the time of my life. You live around the city but you'll find not all of activities unless your 21.

Good luck :) Class of 2013 at SFSU - I will be transferring to Cal Poly Pomona for the Fall!!!

Contact me for any questions!! :)I WILL MISS YOU SFSU
