WPI is a wonderful place. If you attend school and leave your room, it is impossible to find yourself bored. While the course work and academia side of things have been rewarding and challenging (I spent time in both Copenhagen and London pursuing projects that I found very meaningful), I have found the most rewarding part of my college experience to be the relationships I've formed with other students.

Students at WPI typically have a lot in common--we are all intelligent, largely scientifically minded people who tend to enjoy similar things. We have an active greek system which defies stereotypes daily through their interaction with and service to the school and the community. There are a wealth of student organizations ranging from the Social Committee, in charge of putting on great activities to comedy groups, to a ballroom dance club.

I've really enjoyed my time at WPI. I've fallen in with the gamer crowd, the "wedgerats", if you will. We have great fun, we hang out in the wedge every Friday and play board games. So yes, there are fun things to do at WPI.

I've not found the ratio of males to females to be too bad.. but then, I'm female, so what do I know about that.

And about the schoolwork. Much of it's project-based, so it sneaks up on you. And the terms are only 7 weeks long, so it sneaks up on you quickly. I've not found the coursework to be too bad, but I have pulled a few "patchy alnighters" (that's where you and someone else alternate naps, to complete a project overnight without being too sleep-deprived).
