“I went to Metro State for my B.BrightEconomics
I went to Metro State for my B.S in Economics and although this is not Harvard, I felt like I got a quality education for the price. Tuition is very reasonable and it was hard for me justifying paying almost 2x more to go to the U of Minnesota where classes are much larger and not as personal. Do I regret going here? Absolutely NOT! Now that I am starting graduate school with no DEBT, I feel like going to Metro State was not a bad decision at all!

Metro promotes the fact that you can take classes "anywhere" because they have classes in three main locations. That's bull. Of the classes offered at one of the main locations, I would estimate that 70 percent are in St Paul, 20 in Midway and 10 in Minneapolis. Want to take a math class at a higher level than Algebra? They don't offer them in Minneapolis. Want to take Biology, Chemistry, Art? None of those in Minneapolis either. Most the classes in Minneapolis are Management, Business, and Accounting. They hold a few General classes there, but at a much lower rate than the other two campuses.
There are many ways that Minneapolis students have it harder than St Paul students. Parking in Minneapolis is $5, in St Paul it's $2 or $3, and at Midway it is free. You have to take assessment tests (for Math and Reading)in St Paul. The cashier's office is in St Paul, so you have to go there to get a student bus pass. I have been sending emails and feedback on the website and I have not gotten many replies that were useful.Want to take an online class? Okay, resident students have to pay $232 dollars more to take a four credit class online than in person!
