I am a transfer student to UNO, and transferring was the best decision I have ever made. The advising staff knows who you are and knows where you want to go after graduation. The classes are small and it is very easy to get to know your teachers on a first name basis. I am able to visit my professors at their offices almost any time of day as long as they are available and almost always leave with helpful information. I would strongly recommend this university to anyone, especially if you are pursuing a degree in IT.

I attended West Virginia University for two years before transferring to UNO. While WVU isn't known for its academics, the classes and professors were far greater than anything at UNO. The classes here rarely involve critical thinking and are largely just memorization without any real understanding. The curriculum is rigid and feels like an extension of high school, as do the teachers. Overall, if you want a high school education that costs about $5,000 in-state then UNO is for you. If you actually want to be more than a fast food employee, then find another college.

Parking on the main campus sucks...can wait for over an hour just for a parking spot. I came from a Community College before attending UNO and had two math classes to take...had three different instructors during this time and have drop my math class and I am signed up through the local community college and plan to transfer those credits back to UNO because I am unimpressed with UNO's math department. UNO also has very poor communication between departments.
