The School of Architecture is one of theQuite BrightArchitecture
The School of Architecture is one of the top architecture schools in the country and the school itself is well connected to the amount of programs that are used by everyday architects. Though the studio conditions could be improved upon. The studio classmates are very helpful and friendly and will treat you like family. During class time it's all about work and even after class we work through the night to finish projects, but it's not all work as we do have fun while working. The projects themselves are very challenging and the instructors put you through a long thought process to develop and fully understand architecture as a whole. Plus the location of the school has a great surrounding buildings in order to appreciate architecture in Newark and New York City.

Question
NJIT is really what you make of it.Quite BrightOther
NJIT is really what you make of it. The work is harder than you expect it to be. But the people here are generally very nice. As a female student, you are the minority. However, NJIT is NOT a place where guys go if they hate women. Places like Duke where women are raped are where men hate women. I must say even though a lot of the guys here aren't exactly top players, 98% are very polite and respectful.

Question
Go to a community college to get yourAverageMechanical Engineering
Go to a community college to get your Math and Science classes done with then come to NJIT or else you will be screwed over and stuck here for more than the four-year period. And once you're in, know how to work the system and/or cheat effectively. However, there are some courses which will be a breeze if you study enough--but studying often takes up your entire week and weekends so be good at time management. Other than that, good luck...you'll need it.
