Super Brilliant
Retiree, took an opportunity at the encouragement of the staff to apply for the nursing program. I was accepted and then THEY switched my major to liberal arts since. They could not accomodate me in the nursing program. I applied AGAIN while taking core credits and maintaining an above average grade of almost 90 and was yet again turned down without ever being given an answer as to why. The nursing program appears to be a LOTTERY SYSTEM! Having a straight "A" will not help you.

Quite Bright
If you want a rewarding and challenging college experience where you will recieve a great education then this college is for you! If you want a traditional college experience and are looking forward to the social scene then this would not be a good choice. This college was a community college but now has become a four year college. They do not have residence halls for the students yet though. Here, all of the student body commutes. In my experience, most of the students here are not very friendly at all and are really not interested in making friends. It actually reminds me of high school where everyone tends to be very clicky. If you aren't already in the group then good luck! It's really to bad that the student body is not more friendly, nice, and outgoing. I regret coming here because of that, but will not regret the education that I recieved. A quality education from top notch, friendly, professors who are willing and always there for you to help you succeed!

I transferred to ACC from a private school to get back on track. I love it. Everyone is friendly, even people I went to HS with who I never talked to are nice. The teachers are alright, can't say I've honestly liked any of them, but a CC can't afford to hire the best either. I love it and plan to stay for two years before transferring to a SUNY college. I'm never going private again!
