Completely lack of support. Left Lehman College feeling used and completely unsupported.

1. Students = money, not people. The hurdles for administration alone make any NYC high school tame. Be prepared to: show up early, literally take number, be called up by a staff member who does not even make eye contact, have them roll their eyes and sigh, they will have you fill out some forms, stand in line, than begin again at another office. I wonder if someone from the high ups paid someone to go through the "Red tape" if there would be change.
Exception to this: the bursar's office ALWAYS contacts you when you have an issue with payment.

2. Though all contact with higher ups outside of my department have lead to them engaging in some conjured battle of wills and palpable arrogance.

3. If you ONLY had to stay in your department you would be fine. Teachers care and are very knowledgeable; they are the schools' saving grace.

4. Tuition cannot be beat, but try another 4 year CUNY and save hours of your life dealing with people who don't like theirs.

Education

You can get what you want out of Lehman. You have to be willing to ask , to do , to achieve on your own. In all aspects of college life this is true of Lehman. Eveything is there if you ask. In general , the staff all together are more with it than other prestigious schools I have taken classes in. There is a down to earth , lack of pretense at Lehamn and you won't hear whinny little girl shrieks and "Oh, my god, that's so cool".
Peolpe of all ages and backgrounds meet each other and if you seek out the thinkers the mix is incrediblystimulating.
