The East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania

The Good: The professors in my major are phenomenal. I do feel like coming to class every day and learning new material. The professors I had for my gen eds were so, so. Nothing that special about them.

There are a lot of clubs, greek life, and activities on campus, which is good because East Stroudsburg itself is really not that nice of a town. I also commute and while parking is a huge headache, it isn't to the point where its impossible to get a spot.

Students are generally nice here, but you do run into a lot of not so nice people from time to time.

The Bad: Campus is very old. They've recently added two suite-style dorms on campus, but most of the old traditional dorms still remain. I believe updates are in the works, but not anytime soon. If you're looking for a big college campus, this is not the school for you. Campus lies mostly on two streets and it doesn't take too long to get to one side to the next. I really don't consider campus to be that nice as a whole. There are parts that are nice, but I wouldn't call campus beautiful. I find West Chester's campus as well as Kutztown's to be superior to ESU's.

The food on campus is hit or miss. The school prides itself on having one of the healthier dining halls of all the states schools in PA, but I still find it very unhealthy. There are two main places to eat on campus, with a small cafe in Sci-Tech, so dining is limited on campus.

If you're looking for an on campus job, there isn't much to offer. I got lucky this year finding an on campus job, but I know a lot of people don't find one during their time at this school.

Enrollment services is still disorganized. Although it's better than before, I still find some working in Zimbar to be rude. I had issues with them when they didn't transfer a few of my classes, that were in fact equivalent, from my old college,so that was a hassle. I know they have lost more paper work than you would expect from a college.

All in all I don't fully regret my time here, but I'm relieved to be graduating next month and I really don't plan on returning unless I visit friends. I came here mainly to save money, and I feel I did for the most part.
