The design classes teach you about the design businesss and the right way to produce work that agencies expect you to do it. We worked on projects this year in advertising design class that made me think like i was working in real life. Packaging design, type posters logos and the teachers are all professionals, pretty strict too. If you dont do things right you will have to do it over even if you didnt measure the right way.
Hussian is a great school. I see the work juniors and seniors are working on and i cant wait to do there projects. There is a good vibe around school, good to hang around in after class. easy to make friends and the teachers are friendly even the ones you dont have yet. The school is in a nice building kinda old architecture but new and right near parks and in the historic area. great places to walk around.
The curriculum, as in all schools, could improve in some parts. The staff is working on the issue. They are changing with the times, and bringing in more computer classes for those interested in them. I believe that I received a wonderful education from Hussian. I am very glad that I chose to attend.
The school is in a great location. Old city is not only beautiful and historic, but is a very safe part of Philadelphia. There is multiple modes of transportation that go right to the steps the The Bourse where the school is located. Being able to take the subway right to the steps made transporting all my supplies and artwork so simple. As with all schools, Hussian may not be right for every art student, but they offer a wonderful education and skill training. This is definitely worth checking out if you would like to pursue a career in art.
