Positive Negative Neutral Advice
Althought Lafayette is percievedElectrical Engineering
Althought Lafayette is percieved as average liberal arts school, its reputation as an engineering school is superior. I enjoyed my time at Lafayette. It has a small town atmosphere, which at times could be a bit too much like high-school. The one big negative was the heavy Greek emphasis.

Question
Lafayette was a far different place back inEconomics
Lafayette was a far different place back in the late 60's and early 70's. It wasn't even coed until the 70's. Additionally, the facilities exceed those that existed back then by leaps and bounds. Nevertheless, the reputation of the College in the working world is still very high and growing. My friends from school all joke about how we probably would never be allowed to go there today! As with all institutions- you get out what you put in but the opportunities at Lafayette outnumber the largest schools in the nation and only a fool does not take advantage of them.

Question
I really like Lafayette.Quite BrightPsychology
I really like Lafayette. There are a few..well a lot of snobs, but there are definitely great people here too that make the snobs bearable - plus you need someone to make fun of at bars! People are generally friendly and willing to talk if you strike up a conversation. The campus is very small, and as you get older it gets smaller every year - so pretty much everyone knows everyone's business by your third year. The social life is mostly off campus, in fraternities, and at bars and is pretty good most nights of the week. Academic opportunities are great and professors are very approachable. Due to the fact Lafayette has no graduate students, a lot of research and other great opportunities are available that are usually not possible for undergraduate students to experience - a major plus! So if you can get past the silly girls with their high heels and expensive purses, and the boys with popped collars romping around in SUVs the academic experience can be very enriching as well as some wonderful people you can find.
