The most important fact about BJU is this;Quite BrightReligion/Religious
The most important fact about BJU is this; they force you to complete your education at their institution. I chose not to call it a university because it is more like a christian-militarized training facility for the easily persuaded. BJU is not accredited, which makes it virtually impossible to leave after 2 years, like I did, and pursue your education elsewhere. This fact is alluded to by campus mythology, but the fact of the matter is that it is actually true. Not only is it true, but the BJU representatives, when confronted about the accreditation, inform the inquirer that the only accreditation they need is from God. Now that might sound good to the super-spiritual, but it's sounds ridiculous to someone in need of solidified documentation. Be informed before you go there. Don't waste your money on courses that you can't use at another college or university. Go elsewhere to do that. Try supporting Tammie Faye Baker's money-grubbing foundation by buying a towel used to wipe the sweat off her husbands head.

Question
BJU is the greatest christian institution that canReligion/Religious
BJU is the greatest christian institution that can be found. It is here that I learned the true way of life through Jesus! The academics are wonderful and the administation was great.

As far as those in the mainstream media that disagree or have have problems with BJU, you are all gravely mistaken. I feel sorry for you when your sould is burning eternally in hell. So what if the administtration may SEEM overbearing to you who do not agree with them (shame on you for questioning their wisdom) they know what is best for young christians. So what if inter-racial dating is prohibited? Each should keep to their own kind and not mix, for that too is a sin. And who cares if the school is unnacrediited? The only recognition BJU is that of God.

I think that probably those who complain of the school are either heathens, chatholics, jews, (or some other wacky faith-it doesn't matteer you're all going to hell) and are all criticizeing the school fr their own crazy (or zionist) ageda. All I have to say is don't let the fire burn you too bad in your damnation!

BJU is there for God's chosen few, who will be saved during his judegment. God bless BJU!

Question
This university is not a learning center, butAverageMusic - Performance
This university is not a learning center, but an engine for fundementalist propaganda. Rooms are routinely searched by the faculty and staff for "contraband", all phone conversations are monitored, access from the campus is restricted day and night, and little or no social life is allowed. All curriculum used is subject to review by the administration, and anything which contradicts or even questions the views of the administration is not allowed. If a student is caught with such an item in his or her possesion, it is confiscated and the student is often expelled. All dating must be done under the direct supervision of the faculty, and in cases of conduct seemingly out of line with university policy (such as holding hands, all kissing, and any physical contact of any kind) the students are presumed guilty and punished severely. Most punishment includes being placed under social probation, which means that the student cannot even speak to a member of the opposite sex. Failure to comply results in expulsion. No music is permitted in the students possesion unless it has been reviewed by the faculty. There is no pop, rock, blues, or jazz allowed. No televisions are allowed in the dorm rooms. No movie may be in the student's possesion unless it is rated "G". The school is borderline racist. Inter-racial dating, though it is now legal, is heavily frowned upon. If you are seriously considering this school, look elsewhere. The school is suppressive and destructive. It highly resembles a prison.
