| Quite Bright | Carson Newman... a christian school?! I thought Christian values included understanding and a desire to help?!? If you have ANY responsibilities outside of school (IE. youre a grown adult who doesnt live on campus and mooch off your parents)this is NOT the school for you!! Outside the LifeReach/Life(Something) Cord. and the entire Communications department (I must mention that they were great!) everyone else at this college is unconcerned and has little understanding of what it means to be a parent of a young child. Ive attended another college prior to this one and I have to say CN was the worst experience ever!! Over the past two years it was stated to me in two different ways, but not in these exact words that I needed to "choose what was more important...my education or my daughter" YOUVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!!???! If you are a parent do not step foot into this place as a student! There are plenty of other schools that offer the same education without the pharisaical attitude *most* of the teachers have. During my time there I only met one other student who commuted and had a family of her own. If you are paying for your education (unlike all the athletes who go there...which by the way notice on campus all the run down buildings and then walk over to the NEW football facilities) go somewhere that they dont take students for granted. Dont be fooled by the first impression!! | Faculty Accessibility: A+, Education Quality: F | | | |

| Quite Bright | When taken the opportunities provided, Carson-Newman is an amazing school with great academics and a focus on spiritual life. Without being just a number, the campus is small enough where students are recognizable, not strangers. While building maintenance and cafeteria food could be greatly improved, the purposes and goals of the institution are fully met through academics, professor availablility, and spiritual life. | Faculty Accessibility: A+, Campus Maintenance: C | | | |

| Quite Bright | Carson-Newman is an ideal college for anyone who desires to be challenged academically and to grow spiritually and emotionally. The professors have an open-door policy, promote critical thinking skills in the classroom, and offer a helping hand to students both inside and outside the realm of academia. You will not be lost in the shuffle of things, and by the time you graduate, if you have taken advantage of the opportunities around you, you will find yourself feeling as though you are leaving home. C-N is truly a special place with remarkable people...both students and professors alike. You will walk away quite competent in your area of study and more sure of who you are and who you want to be. | Faculty Accessibility: A+, Education Quality: F | | | |

| Bright | This school has 0 diversity. It is a school full of white, middle to upper class, protestant (mainly Baptist) 18-23 year olds. Everyone seems to listen to the same music, dress the same, and act the same. There is little to no student life and the city is extremely dull and boring. Maintenance is rarely done when requested, and the residence hall's are falling apart. There is no handicap access to 90% of the buildings. The security officers, while nice, are old and not allowed to carry weapons. There is no way if there was a problem they could protect the students. The campus is not properly lit which also makes the campus seem extremely unsafe at night. | Useful Schoolwork: A, Faculty Accessibility: F | | | |
