When taken the opportunities provided, Carson-Newman is an amazing school with great academics and a focus on spiritual life. Without being just a number, the campus is small enough where students are recognizable, not strangers. While building maintenance and cafeteria food could be greatly improved, the purposes and goals of the institution are fully met through academics, professor availablility, and spiritual life.

Question
Carson-Newman is an ideal college for anyone whoQuite BrightLanguage - French/Spanish/etc.
Carson-Newman is an ideal college for anyone who desires to be challenged academically and to grow spiritually and emotionally. The professors have an open-door policy, promote critical thinking skills in the classroom, and offer a helping hand to students both inside and outside the realm of academia. You will not be lost in the shuffle of things, and by the time you graduate, if you have taken advantage of the opportunities around you, you will find yourself feeling as though you are leaving home. C-N is truly a special place with remarkable people...both students and professors alike. You will walk away quite competent in your area of study and more sure of who you are and who you want to be.

Question
This school has 0 diversity.BrightArt & Design Department
This school has 0 diversity. It is a school full of white, middle to upper class, protestant (mainly Baptist) 18-23 year olds. Everyone seems to listen to the same music, dress the same, and act the same. There is little to no student life and the city is extremely dull and boring. Maintenance is rarely done when requested, and the residence hall's are falling apart. There is no handicap access to 90% of the buildings. The security officers, while nice, are old and not allowed to carry weapons. There is no way if there was a problem they could protect the students. The campus is not properly lit which also makes the campus seem extremely unsafe at night.
