This place is the most ridiculous place inQuite BrightPolitical Science
This place is the most ridiculous place in VA. All the people who are from the surrounding area are stuck up and if you're not from around here, then no one wants to get to know you. Talk about racism, but I don't mean the white people. Blacks are UNBELIEVABLY racist down here. Especially the girls. They are the reason this school is so segregated. Everyone is so ignorant and follows what the crowd does and they never know what they're talking about. People get their throats slashed, robbed, shot, stabbed, etc on a weekly basis. And the education level is so low I can feel myself losing IQ points every time I go to class. Most of the teachers really don't care about you, but I have had a couple that have been really helpful. However this being my 3rd semester here I would have like to have had more helpful professors than I have. And lets not forget the dorms, if you want to get some serious illness from flesh eating bacteria used in nuclear weapons (no lie) or have a crazy bug infection, stay in Powhatan. Or Rogers and Gresham if you're a freshman. Basically, DON'T COME HERE! don't listen to their stupid bragging about the monorail that DOESN'T EVEN WORK! Unless you want to live in the ghetto surrounded by ignorant, stupid, stuck up people.

Alright so heres the thing- if you think you want to go to ODU...just don't. I went tot the school visited the campus the whole nine yards...from the outside it looked great. Up and coming school- near the beach- nice dorms...blah blah blah. Fast forward a couple months and heres how it goes- the faculty is rude, I found a few nice people- few I would consider my friends. In addition- the party scene was freaking lame. About two of the frats would have party regularly and the parties were lame- they would run out of beer halfway through the party and it would suck because you would be buzzed and ready to drink more...but with no beer.

Food was horrible, everywhere. I remember one good meal there- one and that was on the Grand opening of the new cafeteria.

The academic situation was bleak too- freshmen had to take this class called Newpage about global warming and the inconvenient truth shit- with a bunch of professors telling the students how we (the U.S...our generation) is responsible for the Global climate crisis- when it is the older generation's fault. It made me so pissed that they had this class at like 9 am too.

They put all this money into useless shit- like some monorail that doesnt work and is probably way outdated anyway. The campus is way too spread out as well, esp considering that a school with 20000 students only has 3 residence halls.

And if you plan on living there don't trust them with finding you a roommate. I got stuck with this really horrible kid who sucked big time.Needless to say i left after a semester- I could not run fast enough.

Question
If you want to go to school withNot so brightEngineering Department
If you want to go to school with a bunch of ignorant apes and gorillas go here, if not go elsewhere. Most of the black kids at this school hate the white kids here and I know why,the white kids will be the ones getting good paying jobs when they graduate while half of the black kids here won't even graduate. And don't believe that diversity crap, this school is primarily black and white with the random asian or hispanic here and there. Anyways, the bottom line is: parents if you send your kid to this ghetto school then you don't care about your kid and you're making a huge mistake. And who is commiting most of the crime in the Norfolk area?...that would be black people. Holla back son.
