I hate this universityBrightComputer Science
I hate this university so much, I would never wish this place on my worst enemy. HELL ON EARTH, waste of money. Beck Taylor, the president, is a damn coward who will rot in Hell.

Question
I was wavering between Whitworth and a schoolQuite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
I was wavering between Whitworth and a school out of state, and ended up choosing Whitworth because it was closer to home and seemed a little "safer" if you will. worst. decision. ever. I really can't stand this school. The biggest thing, for me anyway is the people. It's the perfect place for some people, just sooooo not for me. If I knew then the kinds of people who go here, I would have never come. It's just impossible to really know what a school will be like until you're living there, going to classes, and seeing firsthand.

Kids who were really strange in high school, and couldn't find friends end up here, and band together. I had one roommate who would hardly talk to me, and one who was home schooled her whole life (and lacked serious social skills. she honest to goodness skipped from class to class, and watched yu-gi-oh). There's also a lot of pk's (pastor's kids...yes, it's common enough to warrant an abbreviation), and together, it creates the strangest dynamic.

Are people there nice? Absolutely. For me, they're a little too nice. I know how strange that sounds (you'd never think that would be a problem, right?), but there all SO polite and positive all the time. Sarcasm is hard to come by, no one will say anything (even in a joking manner) negative about anyone else. Personally, I have mocking, bitter sense of humor, and these people just aren't like that.

There's dumb dorm activities "primetimes" every single night, and the people who go them are always the really strange kids who are trying to make up for their lack of a social life in high school by showing up to these things every single night.

I am not a partier, but if you are looking for that sort of school, you definitely won't find it here. I was looking forward to going to at least a few parties to meet a few people, have fun every once in a while, but parties are pretty much non-existant. People drive to other schools to find parties. That's how dry we're talking here. The teachers a great! I love that part of it. But classes are hard, and honestly, everything else about the school sucks...They just can't make up for it. The food is AWFUL. Seriously. And way overpriced. Every meal is all-you-can-eat, which sucks if you're a small female and are paying the same price for your salad as the football player next to you with 5 plates of food. It's a joke. I could go on...

Question
Don't go to Whitworth unless you are aNot so brightUndecided
Don't go to Whitworth unless you are a super christian and still want a middle school feel because half of the kids that go here have never left there house or are home schooled and don't know how to socialize. It is way to cold and the winter sucks. The professors are okay. I have a few that I really like and a couple that are worse than high school. Whitworth says that religion won't be pushed on you but they lie. Everything is surrounded by the bible and if you don't like it. to bad. Cause everybody else does and you won't fit in.
