Major: Math (This Major's Salary over time)
Best thing about Mudd: The faculty. I love being able to wander around the department and chat with profs in their offices. They all have their doors open all the time. The professors here are all top-knotch teachers.Another good thing: Life on campus. Practically everyone lives in the dorms here, and it really feels like a community. Everyone knows each other, and there's a lot of cameraderie within the dorms. Of course, it can get a little tiring at times—a bit like life in a small town; too many of the same faces every day. Some negative things: The stress level. The work load here is pretty heavy, and the students just make it worse by whining and stressing out. Also, there's not a lot to do in Claremont, and public transportation in the area is pretty weak, so it's hard to get out unless you have a car and are willing to drive 45 minutes into L.A.
