Major: Computer Science (This Major's Salary over time)
I have no real issue with the University of Miami (ie; faculty and resources) but rather with the caliber of students who are enrolled. Individuals and intellectuals (excluding GPA mongering premeds) are few and far between. That being said, I have been almost unilaterally been impressed by the helpfulness, availablitiy and competence of the professors (there are always a few exceptions but that is to be expected). The computer science department is rather small but I'm happy with the profs I've had but the courses offered are minimal. To sum it up I would say that at the University of Miami you really need to look far and wide for the bright students and you really make what you want of your own education which seems to be a truism but it is especially true at the University of Miami.
