i really liked UM…i came from a really small high school where my graduating class was only a 120 and all girls…going from that type of setting to a huge setting wasn't difficult at UM..especially since i was also in the scholars program..but there's enough different "groups of people" to find that you fit into at least one…also lots of opportunity to interact with people of different backgrounds whatever they might be…lower level lecture classes are HUGE..but the discussions for those classes are usually in small enough setting where you end up getting to know at least one person…upper level you'll notice having the same classes with the same people over and over again…although some classes might be big…there's usually lots of group/team projects making the class seem smaller…i made most of my life long friends at UM…we all had a blast…partying hard and studying hard…overall it's a good school…has all the basic things that people look for in a school… good academic departments if not highly rated…nice campus…close to DC…etc.
