Date: Jun 07 2003 Major: Math (This Major's Salary over time) I'd say that the most positive aspects of my experience at Bethel were the close relationships I developed with a number of professors (who have, interestingly, moved on to other institutions since). All in all, most professors here were good teachers and genuinely concerned about their students. Additionally, Bethel offered generous scholarships and a warm, kind community of students. In other ways, my experience was less positive. Even though I had wanted to attend a small school, as my college career progressed I often wished for the academic opportunities and course offerings that a larger institution might provide. Since admissions at the school are fairly noncompetitive, finding peers who enjoyed intellectual pursuits was often difficult. And even though I entered the school as a conservative, evangelical Protestant, I came to feel that the religious climate of the school could be stifling.
