Major: Social Work (This Major's Salary over time)
I loved BYU. I admit I was rather skeptical at first, because while I wanted to be around other members of my faith, I didn't want to be around a bunch of closeminded dolts who all thought alike. But I was pleasantly surprised. Everyone I met was different and opinionated. The joke on campus is that BYU is a "bubble," but it is very tongue in cheek. Most of the people there are from out of state, anyway, so the diversity of background is very rich. BYU is all about helping the students. The professors and advisors will go out of their way for you—the whole campus is set up for getting their students out into the "real world." Anyone who says otherwise didn't try. The resources there are incredible. I believe very strongly that you find what you look for—anywhere. If you are looking for dissapointment and a bad time, you'll find it. However, if you are looking for a wonderful social life, challenging curricula, and help around every corner, you'll find that as well. At BYU, you don't have to look very far.
