For
me, St. Olaf was an excellent choice. I particularly
enjoyed the academic challenge, the study abroad opportunities (I spent
a year in England), and the people. I made
life long friends with my peers and even with professors.
There were many of those late night meaning-of-life conversations,
and they are one of the things I miss most
now that I'm in the real world. I also
liked the option to be involved in music and church,
but I never felt like an outsider since neither were
my main focus. Northfield is a quiet town, so
people who like to play really hard on the weekend
might have to actually make an effort to find wild
adventures. My advice? Regardless of where students go,
college is what they make of it.
