Major: Education (This Major's Salary over time)
If you're considering attending UTSA and value your education, reconsider. I'm a transfer student and I find that many people who take their educations seriously wish they would have attended a different university. It's too late now for most of us, unless we want to take much longer to graduate. It's my understanding that other colleges at UTSA are worthwhile, but The College of Education isn't! They are very disorganized, they make it very difficult to graduate in a reasonable amount of time, and no one seems to care if you have a problem and need help. It seems that everyone is simply a number and customer service isn't a concern at all. Another issue is bad scheduling and…Now that they have the downtown campus, expect to drive back and forth between campuses during the day. Please don't simply take my advice—go to advising and ask various students about their experiences. You'll always find some who like to complain about everything, but I have found many people just like me. We don't want to have to complain about anything, but it's impossible to not have issues with the way things are run here. Word of advice—if you're in this area and you need a degree in education, go to A&M Systems Center in San Antonio or Texas State in San Marcos. Good luck!
