If you are a pre-med or pre-health student, this is a university you must take a look at. I started out pre-med and it has to be one of the finest pre-med educations in the nation, and many med schools treat it with that kind of respect.

If you are a business student, you will find a pretty strong business school here that should get you into many good graduate schools if that is what you want. The Creighton name is also very strong in the Midwest, and if you want to stay around here, it is something you will benefit from.

If you would like to go to one of Creighton's graduate schools, look here! There is a great preference program which will give you a huge leg up in getting into the program you want!

If you are none of the above, you may want to look elsewhere. I have been dissapointed in the psychology department here because frankly, like many others, the university doesn't focus on them. The university is focused on medicine, and I think it always will be. Psychology here is simply weak, and the professors we have seem very weak compared to other comperable schools (look for yourself).

Creighton is a great school if your major fits in right, but if you are one like me where you are not in one of Creighton's strengths, it is easy to feel like the university has forgotten about you. My interest is in counselling psychology and I can't find professors with similar interests to do research with. Most of the research has a medical tilt, and most of the professors have that interest again due to the focus of the school.

If you are a pre-med, come here! You will thank yourself! If you are not, you may want to reconsider. It is still a good school, but there are better programs out there! I will say however that the financial aid here is usually good!
