Just don't be afraid to be openminded to a lot of different characters and backgrounds. College is a time, for some people, to find themselves, and Austin provides a very liberal environment in which you may do so. It's not bad to get involved on campus, but if you feel a certain way about an issue, don't be afraid to voice it. There's bound to be someone else out there just like you. Don't be bowled over by other people who seem to have their arguments in line and their heads on straight—its just not always the reality. Be who you want to be, don't be afraid to express it, and don't be too easily swayed about anything!
