People are quick to put down a community college and it wasn't uncommon to hear "MV SUCKS!" But once you transfer to another college, MV suddenly seems more appealing. Everything is very organized, the staff is friendly, the instructors know what they're doing, are approachable, and were always willing to help when I needed it. There's a lot of academic support so there's no reason you can't do well and there's many different and unique courses that you may not even find at large universities. The buildings and campus are well maintained and clean. The only downside to it is the parking there sucks and security is quick to give tickets because you park on the grass instead of parking so far away—but the crammed parking lots usually empty out as the semester progresses due to people dropping out. Also, if you live on campus, don't expect much in the surrounding area—it's very boring.
