What makes BYU a great place is that is a clean environment. I don't know if there is a cleaner campus in the nation morally or physically. I think that this is very conducive to learning. People are very friendly and teachers care about you as a person. Additionally, the school is supported by funds from the LDS church which makes tuition a lot less than it would be, even for students not of the LDS faith.
