After three years of personal hell at this place, I strongly recommend anyone looking at getting their education degree to go elsewhere. The head of the education department is one of the most arrogant, unprofessional teachers that I have ever known. Her staff is not much better. We are talking about teachers belittling you in class, taking away all of your confidence, changing their requirements at the last minute, ect. I have decided to leave after three years and have spent the summer trying to put myself back together. After having spent my entire elementary, middle and high school years at a private college prep school, my decision to attend Alverno was probably one of the worst decisions that I have made in my life. And to top it all off, after investing $45,000 in this, none of the credits will transfer to another college. Don't make the same mistake that I did.
