Mount Holyoke is not for everyone. As a first year, I can tell you that for me, the adjustment to an all girls school has not been an entirely easy one, but each day I love it here a little more. It's not a joke when they tell you that Holyoke really gives you a place and the means to figure out who you truly are and what you want to do with your life. I dont think going to an all girls school is taking the easy way out, or avoiding "the real world"—an all girls school is about being bold, taking a risk, and challenging yourself to go beyond satisfactory. It is for strong personalities and independent thinkers who aren't afraid to be on their own and to try new things. Okay, so it may not be the real world. But is that really so bad? Even if it isnt the real world, it will certainly prepare you for it.
