Major: Animal Studies (This Major's Salary over time)
I came from FL to get involved with the equestrian team and pretty much just horses in general. I'm not a "cowgirl" but I would like to own a ranch, and I think I picked the right place to teach me how to do so. There is a lot of different things to do here, a lot of opportunity to try new things. I've always ridden English, but I'm going to try out for the rodeo team next year. Everybody is really friendly, so even if you don't know what you're doing, you don't feel stupid or left out. Pretty much everybody in the Agriculture and particularly the animal science department, grew up on a farm in Oklhoma, or a nearby state. It's very interesting to meet so many different people. While there are a lot of cowboys/cowgirls not everybody is a one, there is definately a fully diverse population.
