This school is a joke. People only come here from in-state because they are too lazy/don't have the grades to go elsewhere. The education here is terrible; I was expecting somewhat of a poor environment, but it was worse. Most of the faculty don't have their doctorate, or if they do, have it from low-level schools. Students are, for the most part, sheltered, ignorant, and hardly intellectually stimulating. And, sorry, but for the most part, lower class and ignorant/from ignorant backgrounds. I had a girl in my math class ask "Who is this guy Theorem, and how do you spell his last name?". No joke. Also don't expect anyone to know anything about literature, philosophy, art, or history. Most of the kids here aren't intelligent, and aspire only to middle management or healthcare (the nursing program is an exception, supposed to be decent). It's not even a good party school to make up for it. Do not expect an environment that will stimulate learning, growth, culture, or heaven forbid, graduate school (unless you want an online MBA!!) I've made some great friends here, but I'm transferring out. Not to mention that Tampa isn't exactly a 'cultured city' - for those of us who have lived elsewhere, like the NE or West Coast, or travelled at all, it's not a city at all. A degree from this school is worthless, administration cares little about students or academics, and overall, this is a very low-level (fourth tier, the lowest!!!) school. Spend some extra time and money and go somewhere decent, where you actually learn something, and get a degree that enables you to get employment above Assistant Manager at Target.
