Major: Business - Management and Administration (This Major's Salary over time)
The administration is the worst thing about UC, aside from the terrible quality of education. Good classes and teachers are hit or miss—mostly miss, I would say. Being in business is not too bad though; the science majors are the ones who really get screwed because their teachers are there to do research and little more. UC is pretty bad, and I see no signs of change under President Nancy Zimpher. The administration at UC would rather increase tuition to construct new buildings and tout the "great things" that the University is doing (which is mostly smoke and mirrors), rather than improve the quality of education. UC is not a great educational institution (like Miami), nor does it have a fun-loving, carefree campus (like OU). Also, everything on campus closes by 6:00pm and the surrounding area is a war zone—a student was shot and almost killed in late April, 2005. What type of student is UC aiming to attract? Besides, the UC Police is like the Gestapo and takes the fun out of being a college student. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
