How difficult was it to get into PrattMWP? Would you have to Pratt in Brooklyn from the beginning if you had the chance to? I'm just wondering cuz i can't decide what to do |
Major: Communications (This Major's Salary over time)
I am just finishing up my four years at Pratt. I attended the first two years at Pratt@MWPI, an extension campus in Utica ( a great option if you want to save a little money- all new facilities and outstanding staff) My experience at Pratt was a great one. The progress I have made as an artist and a business woman is invaluable. The staff is amazing, they all have changed my life in so many ways. I truly feel part of a family, they are incredibly talented and experienced, you should do some research and look up their work, you will definitely be impressed. Not only that they are always available-even out of class to give advise and help, alumni also frequently come to classes to show what they are doing and get/give feed back, and also share their stories with the students. The only negative thing I can say about the staff is that they are extremely underpaid- they are the backbone of Pratt and the reason that so many endlessly talented people pour out of this school. My department has done a complete 180 this past year with the new acting chair and I cannot say enough good things about my experience. It is so nice to have someone that cares so deeply heading our department, she always puts the best interest of the students first, and she is always available to talk to and she truly listens to our concerns-it is amazing! The entire mood of the department is soooo much brighter and more positive, people are working more as a team, the sense of unity really pushes you through the extreme challenges a superior education has to offer. Thank you Pratt ComD faculty for an amazing four years and giving me the tools to follow my heart.
